
Nicole Reinert is an investigative journalist and producer based in Southern California. Her work has appeared on HBO, PBS, FRONTLINE, The New York Times, ProPublica, KQED and the CBC.
She previously worked at the Northern California PBS and NPR station as an associate producer for the current affairs TV show KQED Newsroom and as a criminal justice reporter for radio and online. Prior to joining KQED, Nicole worked as an associate producer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s national investigative unit where she spent several months examining the use of offshore tax havens by Canadians.
In 2014, Nicole shared in an Investigative Reporters and Editors Award for her contribution to the ICIJ project “Secrecy for Sale: Inside the Global Offshore Money Maze.” Her work has also been honored with a Northern California Emmy Award and a Canadian Screen Award for best editorial research.
